Elizabetta to Courmayour – fourth day of the TMB

We woke up in Elizabetta to a 4 degrees may morning. We went down and down to the valley, seeing streams all around.

We got to a bridge where we had to decide whether to cross and keep going in the valley or ascend steeply to the right just before the bridge. We decided ascending. It didn’t end. We just kept going upwards and upwards without seeing the end. We cursed our book’s author once more.

Eventually, when we reached the peak, it was amazing. Yet it was also scary as the wind almost sent me all the way down again, and using the fast way down…

Then we went down till we reached a place that had a really good Italian coffee. For some reason, they were also gooses around.

From there we still had a long way down going through a beautiful forest. From some points we were also able to see Courmayour in the distance.

In the end we reached the beautiful town of Courmayour, located in the middle of amazing mountains.

In Courmayour we stayed in a hotel, that besides being cheaper than our previous accommodations, provided us with an actual shower. Then we went out to a restaurant to get really good Pizza and macchiato.

Then we went out to tour the city with its picturesque shops before getting some sleep.
