Back on the roads 🙂 After a super intense year, I really do need this break. Really do.
This time I’m traveling with two awesome friends, Yoav and Maor.
We flew to Ljubljana Airport and took a shuttle to the city of Ljubljana. Even before that we were able to buy a local Sim card that instantly worked 🙂
We left our luggage in a locker in the local train station, and started touring by foot.
Ljubljana is quite small, and we were able to see most of the old city, as well as the market, while walking to eat a really good Hamburger.
We then took the funicular and climbed up to Ljubljana Castle, the top attraction of the city. We took a guided tour, which turned out to be filled with characters. That is, we had human actors acting as historic characters, telling us about the history of the palace. It was a bit weird at first, but overall it was quite an experience 🙂 It didn’t feel right to take photos of the actors, so I’m attaching a picture of the view from the castle instead.
We then took the funicular down the hill, and went for a coffee before going back to the train station to pick up our luggage and take the bus to Bled.
We arrived in Bled and walked to our nice apartment. It has just enough room for the three of us, and a nice view from the balcony.
We finished the day by eating Pizza. Tomorrow, we ride! 🙂
