USA & Canada Trip 2018 – Days 23-24 – Yellowstone National Park, Part 2

We started our second day in Yellowstone by going to Lake Butte, which was a bad decision – it’s not special, and is quite far away from the other things we planned for the day. We then went to Mud Volcano, which had lots of mud springs, bubbling and erupting mud to the air. That was weird, pretty cool and really stinky.

We then went to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, starting from Grand View point.

We then went to see the cool Mammoth Hot Springs Terraces. This weird and beautiful place makes you feel as if you were walking on the moon. The ground is white-greyish with brown touches, looking unreal.

We then drove all the way to Whitefish, Montana. I actually drove for 7.5 hours today (6.5 to Whitefish and ~1 hour inside Yellowstone). It was a scenic and peaceful drive.

In Whitefish, we were lucky to find ourselves in a local festival where we heard a cool band playing 🙂
